This photograph was taken at the celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mary Doukas' paternal grandparents, Telesphore and Orgée Fafard. Mary is third from the left in the front row. Her sister Lucille is also in the front row, third from the end at the right, and sister Lorraine is in the front row at the very end on the right.
Photograph of Isabelle and Joseph Charbonneau, paternal grandparents of Yvette Alexopoulos. At a relatively young age, Joseph had already immigrated to the U.S.. He returned to Canada following his wife's passing. He later remarried and moved to Connecticut and then to the state of New York.
Eva Gaudreau and Albert Charbonneau were wed at St. Joseph's Church in Cohoes, NY. Albert lived in Waterford, NY. Eva lived in Cohoes, NY. Both immigrated from Quebec to the U.S. as children and later met in the state of New York. They married and went on to have seven children, one of whom is Yvette (Charbonneau) Alexopoulos.
Handmade wedding scroll made and signed by Eva and Alice Gaudreau for the bride, their cousin Eva, and the groom, Albert Charbonneau. Though geographically separated, the Gaudreau and Charbonneau families remained close and regularly visited each other.

This was probably a wedding photo of Joseph Lewis and Julie Amelia Mayotte. This was a likely an arranged marriage and may have been the primary motivation behind Joseph immigrating to Troy. They married at Saint Jean Baptiste Church--the "French" church--in Troy, NY. (NB The spelling of the family name of Mayotte changed often with the passage of time. Marriage records refer to her as Maillot. Later, on her husband's death record, her name is spelled Mailhot. Later, Mayotte became the most common spelling of the family name.
