A letter S. Alphonse Daudelin wrote to his parents Casimir Daudelin and Flavie Thibeault documenting a trip to New York City, 12 October 1896. Written while traveling back north, it details the sights seen in New York City, as well as the return voyage- including stops at various New England cities.
Marguerite Delavarre Dubois kept this diary from 1907-1908. Most entries were made in 1907 and describe her social life in New York City; study of French and German; painting; attendance at theaters; visits to Saratoga, Lake George, Plattsburgh, Montreal, Albany, and the Catskills.
A photograph of Trail's End Cottage, a summer cabin built by Frederick Strumpf (husband of Franco-American Yvonne Buhrle Strumpf) and his friends. Frederick Strumpf (1915-1975) emigrated to New York City from Belichingen, Germany. He lived in a New York City tenement, was a mail carrier, and US Navy veteran, serving on the USS Boxer.
This collection documents of activities of the Vermont Lake Champlain Quadricentennial Commission during the period 2004-2009. It contains a binder with minutes of the Commission and committees, as well as sample fundraising and marketing materials and two CDs containing digital copies of the same material. The collection also includes four folders containing Commission marketing materials in English and French, one folder containing two Commission-supported publishing projects, and two folders with publicity material for events outside the state.
