This collection contains prints and negatives of amateur photographer, Ray C. Perry. The prints include photographs of the Sprague and Perry families, scenes around Brookfield and Central Vermont, and photographs of families doing everyday activities, including picnics, sports, and weddings. There is a WW II-era photograph showing the Wilcox family of East Brookfield in their parlor around 1942, but no other dates or an indication of when Perry stopped taking photographs. The collection also includes several printed items, including a bill from Sharpe Offset in Rutland to Mrs. Horace Lasell of Barre, Vermont, for 150 copies of a Perry genealogy, Ray C. Perry's operator's license from 1963, a certificate of appreciation to Perry from the Bristol, Vermont, Rotary Club, and several other items.

Ray C. Perry, son of Theron Clement Perry and Cora Alice (Mills) Perry, was born on June 28, 1890, in Plainfield, Vermont. He was an electrician, an amateur poet, and an itinerant photographer. He married Jennie Ellis (1890-1958). He went to Brookfield where he worked for Jessie Fisk and Marion Butters as a maintenance man at an inn called Green Trails. He lived in East Brookfield for several years after completing work at Green Trails. He died in November, 1969.
